Meet Our Team of Doctors!
Dr. Tom Zulandt
Dr. Tom was born and raised in Chardon, OH, where he was one of 9 children. Since he can remember, he has always wanted to be a veterinarian. He went to elementary school at St. Mary’s, graduated from Benedictine High School and completed his undergraduate degree at Bowling Green State University where he met his wife, Jennifer. After they both finished their degrees they moved to Columbus, where he completed and earned his veterinary degree at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Tom enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but especially soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. When not working, Dr. Tom enjoys spending time with his family and watching his three children compete in sports.
Dr. Alex Barry
Dr. Barry is a small animal veterinarian who graduated from The Ohio State University in 2018. She has a B.A in Biology from Thiel College. She has wanted to be a veterinarian since her first two pets, first a cat and then a dog, at a very early age – 4 years old. Dr. Barry has a particular interest in Behavior and Dermatology cases because two of her dogs suffer from these issues to varying degrees.
In her free time, she enjoys reading many different genres of books, swimming, and playing games with her friends – everything from board games to video games. She has four dogs and seven cats at home right now.
Dr. Alyson Deak
Dr. Deak is a native of Madison. She graduated from Madison High School in 2009. She attended The Ohio State University where she received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science. While attending the OSU ATI she participated in research into porcine viruses at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC). She continued her studies at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2017. Since attaining her DVM, Dr. Deak has practiced small animal medicine in Northeastern, Ohio. She is happy to return to her roots and serve her beloved community.
Dr. Deak has a special interest in internal medicine, especially the management of chronic and hormonal diseases. Outside of work, she enjoys running, cycling, hiking, and snowboarding. She also enjoys spending time with her family. She has three older brothers and a chocolate lab named Nestlé.
Dr. Lauren Bundy
Dr. Lauren Bundy is a 2023 graduate from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and is excited to start her career in Madison. She grew up in Bazetta Township, OH and attended Lakeview High School. She attended The Ohio State University for her undergraduate degree, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology degree. She spent her childhood around animals, often bringing home stray animals to the dismay of her father, and she first developed her love of all types of animals through books.
Dr. Bundy has a special interest in preserving the animal-human bond through effective communication about medical care, preventative medicine, and prioritizing the quality of life of both the pet and owner. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, building Legos and puzzles, and walking her dog. She has two formerly stray cats and a mixed breed dog from the Franklin County Shelter.
