Meet Our Team
Dr. Tom Zulandt
I was born and raised in Chardon, OH with my 8 siblings, where my parents still reside. Since I can remember I have always wanted to be a veterinarian. I went to elementary school at St. Mary’s, graduated from Benedictine High School and completed my undergraduate degree at Bowling Green State University where I met my wife. After we both finished our degrees we moved to Columbus, where I completed and earned my veterinary degree at The Ohio State University.
We moved back to the Cleveland area and bought a house outside of Hambden with our oldest daughter Abbigail, upon graduating from OSU. I previously worked at Big Creek and Kirtland Veterinary Hospitals where I learned a great deal from my mentors, during which we also had 2 more children Emma and Hank. We also have our own furry family members, 2 dogs Waylon and Ethel, and 2 cats Olivia and Daisy. My wife and I are really excited for the opportunity Dr. and Mrs. Faulkner have presented us and are excited for our future here.
Dr. Alex Barry
Dr. Barry is a small animal veterinarian who graduated from The Ohio State University in 2018. She has a B.A in Biology from Thiel College. She has wanted to be a veterinarian since her first two pets, first a cat and then a dog, at a very early age – 4 years old. Dr. Barry has a particular interest in Behavior and Dermatology cases because two of her dogs suffer from these issues to varying degrees.
In her free time, she enjoys reading many different genres of books, swimming, and playing games with her friends – everything from board games to video games. She has four dogs and seven cats at home right now.
